Third attempt..and this one better stick!

Remember this? This is how far I got before I decided to frog it. It was looking way too much like tie dye and all the red was bugging the crap out of me. My second attempt involved farmhouse from this first attempt and a skein of golden olive from knitting notions. Ehh...not so much. I really wanted to use the golden olive for a pair of socks but was willing to sacrifice the skein if it was going to work. Fortunately, to my advantage, it didn't. My third (and hopefully final attempt!) consists of a tvyarn from white oak studio in the Anne of Green Gables colorway and some hand-dyed gifted to me from a stitchmarker exchange pal that comes from Raven Frog Fiber Arts (in Alaska). The yarn is called Elegante and the colorway is Kelp Bed. Here's what I've got so far:Now this color combo I absolutely love. It was hard finally finding a combo (in my stash!) that would work but I did it and it was worth it.

Absolutely lovely colours! I thought the first one was really pretty too, but when you are'nt happy with it, then it is better to frog it and use the yarn for other works.

I agree with hobbygasa, I think the first one was lovely. But, when you aren't happy, it simply isn't worth putting all the work into it. I think the one you are working on now is fabulous.

You can definately see the different skeins of yarn in this version. The first one blended in a lot, but it was nice too. I don't want you to regret that you frogged it now though.

ladies-looking back the first one was pretty but I couldn't see myself wearing it often. The dark reds from both skein were pooling together and I would stare & stare at those pools! I don't regret frogging it @ all though-don't worry. And I agree-if one isn't happy with something, it's better to frog. Thanks for the comments! :)
